Beginner? Try These Ideas Out.

The Art of Blogging

Believe it or not, blogging is more than just creating content, engaging with readers, and curating a few social media accounts.

Your blog is more than just the words, images, and videos you share with the world. Your words need a proper home, so to speak.

The visual layout of your blog is one of the main factors that determine whether the folks who stumble upon your blog subscribe or not.

In other words, yeah, everyone judges a book by its cover these days…

To Blog or Not to Blog?

The Art of Blogging

That is the question…

Should you blog? And why? And about what?

The fact that there are tens of millions of blogs in existence does make it feel as if your words won’t matter much.

But just like Shakespeare’s most famous words, this simple question only serves to prove that we either do or we don’t. We either are or not.

That’s it.

Negative Self-Judgment – Guest post by, Tina Frisco…

Chris The Story Reading Ape's Blog

I was on vacation at the beginning of July and upon getting back and then catching up with my work, our family suffered a very tragic accident. My aunt and three of her daughters were on a cross-country road trip from Pennsylvania to California. An adventure of a life time.

Beth, Lizzy, Savanna and Sequoia in California.

My other two cousins were seriously injured. My uncle and…

My best promotional source

Story Empire

Craig here today. I’ve read it before, but years of experience cements the comment: Your blog is your best promotional opportunity. Let’s talk about how it works, because it may not be how you think.

There are a couple of things you have to accept in order to make this work. Blogging is a form of social media, and you are the brand. You may think your book(s) are the brand, but that isn’t true.

I recommend not opening a book-titled blog. While this is curable over time, you might want to avoid this trap. What happens if you write a second, or subsequent book? The book isn’t the brand, you are.

Pick a title that has more longevity. I call my personal blog Entertaining Stories. (Shameless plug there.) You can see that it allows me to expand my content into multiple books, even multiple genres without the need…
